Four steps to your video messages
The photo booth stays a photo booth. Two stations, two experiences, one evening.
1. Enquiry and setup
Tell us the date, the venue and the occasion. Together we decide how long a message can be, anywhere between 15 seconds and 2 minutes, which question your guests should answer, and what the start screen looks like. We need those decisions no later than 14 days before your event.
2. Delivery and set-up
We bring the station, set it up and collect it afterwards. Within a 25 km radius, set-up and take-down are included. On site we need a single 230 V socket, no Wi-Fi, no network access from the venue, no coordination with their technical team.
3. Your guests record
The station runs all evening. Guests come over when they are ready, alone, as a couple or as a whole table. There is no fixed limit on messages; in practice around 200 recordings come together at an event. If anything is unclear, you can reach us around the clock.
4. Videos in your download area
After the event, every recording lands in your online download area, together with the photos from the same night. Everything is there within 7 days at the latest, usually considerably sooner.
What the station does
Most providers write “HD” on their page and stop there. We would rather tell you what actually records, because with a video guest book two things decide the result: resolution and sound.

Typical number of messages per event
Your video messages do not arrive on a memory stick, and not as a link that expires after three days. They sit in your online download area, alongside the photos from the same event. One login, one place, everything together.
That sounds like a detail, but it is where a lot of couples get stuck later: photo booth pictures in one gallery, videos in some cloud, guests' phone photos in a group chat. Here they come together. Add our Event Cloud and your guests' and photographer's images end up in the same password-protected area.

This is the question we get most often, and the honest answer is that it depends on your guests, not on the product. People talk more freely into a microphone, the absence of a lens takes the pressure off, and with a very mixed guest list more people tend to take part. A camera, on the other hand, produces recordings with a different density: the short pause, the glance sideways, the laugh when someone jumps into frame from behind. Sound alone cannot do that. Rule of thumb: if you want every message, take the audio guest book. If you want that one message you will watch again in ten years, take the video guest book.
Both say “video”, and they are completely different things. The 360° video booth does not record conversations, it orbits a camera around guests standing on a platform and turns that into a short, very effective slow-motion clip. It is about movement, music and instant sharing. The video guest book is about content. The booth entertains the evening; the guest book is for afterwards.
A photo booth can record short videos, but it sits in the middle of the action, is built for fast turnaround, and its sound comes from the camera microphone. For a wave and a “cheers” that is fine. For the message your grandmother delivers with a shaky voice, it is not. The video guest book deliberately stands to one side, has its own microphone, and gives every guest exactly as much time as you decided beforehand.

The biggest lever for good messages is not the technology, it is the question on the sign. Give guests nothing and you get fifty variations of “all the best, you two”. Give them a specific question and you get stories.

What should we definitely not have forgotten in ten years' time?
The same mechanic works for corporate events and anniversaries with different prompts: “What was your best year here?”, “What is the one thing you want to tell the team?”. You settle on the question with us no later than 14 days before the event.

Is this the same as the 360° video booth?
No. The 360° video booth does not record messages, it orbits a camera around guests standing on a 115 cm platform and turns that into a short slow-motion clip for instant sharing. The video guest book is a station for personal messages.
What if our guests are camera-shy?
That is the most common objection, and a fair one: more people hesitate in front of a lens than in front of a microphone. Three things help. First, placement, off the main thoroughfare, where half the room is not watching. Second, a specific question on the sign rather than an open invitation, because a question is easier to answer than a blank page. Third, allow groups. Recording in twos and threes is a much lower hurdle for many guests, and those recordings often turn out to be the best ones. If you expect a genuinely reserved crowd, the audio guest book may be the better fit, and we will say so.
Can we combine it with a photo booth?
Yes, and that is the most common booking. The photo booth runs all evening for prints and props; the video guest book sits quietly beside it for the messages. Both results land in the same download area. The video guest book is included in the VIP and Gold packages, and can be added to any other.
